TDI Conversions. 1.9 or 2.0? Thread starter planeflyer21; Start date May 14, 2018; P. planeflyer21 Member. Joined Apr 8, 2018 Location Arizona TDI Pending May 14 Is 2.0 Tdi Better Than 1.9 Tdi? The 1.9 is slightly more economical, the 2.0 is quicker revving, smoother, faster, quieter. The 1.9 only has a 5 speed box though. The 2.0 doesn’t pull quite as well from low revs (the 1.9 is like a tank) but is less peaky. When Did Vw Stop Making 1.9 Tdi? In response to the TDi vs 1.8T debate it seems that in your area the argument for the TDi is very strong with diesel prices so, so low compared with petrol. My experiences of the 110 TDi engine is that in the low revs (1500ish) the engine is more tractable than the 1.8T, more power low down and better in higher gears at lower speeds. The 2.5 TDI engine described is a V6 with a 90 degree split angle and a total displacement of 2,469 cc. The compression ratio is relatively high compared to today’s standards, at 19.5. However, the design of the R5 had a compression ratio of as much as 21, although the later version was lowered to 18.5. This is part of the reason why the 1996 ".184" nozzles are the only actual .184mm measured nozzles and all later ".184" nozzles are actually .170mm. The .170 has a smaller orifice but a higher fuel pressure and different injection duration which means that the same amount of fuel is injected regardless of nozzle size. I agree with most of what has been written, with a lot of people comparing this 2.0 with engines 30g ago, of course it is better than 1.6td from golf 2 today all engines exceed more than 300 tkm, but from experience with vw 2.5 and 2.0 2009 and 2013 can say that these engines are far worse in durability than the average, while the rest of the This is a redesigned 1.9-liter TDI engine. The 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine was the first Volkswagen diesel engine having four valves per cylinder, and it was used in the 2004 Golf, Passat, and other vehicles. Gray cast iron is used to make the cylinder block. The engine’s displacement was boosted by expanding the bore to 81.0 mm. Still, it lacks the power to win the top speed competition, topping at 178 kilometers per hour, 2km/h less than the other car. When it comes to fuel economy things look pretty much the same for both cars, averaging around 5.7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (50 mpg), in combined cycle. Is 2.0 TDI better than 1.9 TDI? The 1.9 is slightly more economical, the 2.0 is quicker revving, smoother, faster, quieter. The 1.9 only has a 5 speed box though. The 2.0 doesn’t pull quite as well from low revs (the 1.9 is like a tank) but is less peaky. Is the Audi 2.0 TDI reliable? All I've seen lately is the 1.9 TDI which they also offer, but are the newer block (not the 1Z), so mounts are different. The 1.9 IDI (AAZ) is a 'drop-in', only being 16mm taller than the 1.6. the NA is ~66HP, and the TD ~74 (with the smaller 1.9 turbo) They all have squirters and are TD compatible (at least mine are) I got mine with 1.6 Hyd fHWV.
